Questions we get asked first
Two things. Portari is a self-hosted managed file transfer platform, sold and supported by our partner ROCI Solutions (opens in a new tab) — they'll talk through whether it fits. CoverText is on the Shopify App Store and you can install it yourself from $9 a month.
Everything else is still in development. The applications page lists it all with its real status. When something changes, that page changes first.
We don't have a date, and we'd rather not invent one. Public deadlines have a way of becoming the reason quality gets cut, which is precisely the trap this studio exists to avoid.
What we can tell you is where each item stands right now, and we keep those percentages honest — including the uncomfortable ones.
Yes — that's what the early access list is for. One email when something enters beta, and nothing in between.
If you have the problem one of these is meant to solve, mention it in a message. Beta groups are deliberately small, and people who actually live with the problem are the most useful testers we can get.
A small independent team. The company is new; the engineering experience behind it isn't.
Deliberately small is the point — it's what makes it possible to say no to ideas, take the time to document decisions, and avoid the growth pressure that degrades most software.
It means brother — someone with a stake in how things turn out for you. It's the posture we want toward the people who eventually use what we build.
There's a little more on that, and on the "Labs" half, on the about page.
We don't sell data, broker it, or build features whose real purpose is collecting more of it. If something only works by harvesting what people didn't mean to hand over, we don't ship it.
For this site specifically: the form sends us what you type and nothing else, and the email list is used for exactly one thing — telling you when something enters beta.
