Who we work with

We build it. They deliver it.

Writing good software and running other people's infrastructure are two different jobs, and being mediocre at the second would not make us better at the first. So where a product needs someone on the ground, we work with a partner who does that for a living.

Delivery partner

ROCI Solutions

ROCI Solutions is a managed service provider working with growing small businesses — managed IT support, cybersecurity, cloud, disaster recovery, and network management.

They sell, deploy, and support Portari for us. If you want to talk about running it, they're who you talk to: they'll scope the install, handle licensing, and be the people you call afterwards.

  • They handle Portari enquiries. Pricing, scoping, and whether it's the right fit for what you're moving.
  • They deploy it. Portari is self-hosted, so somebody has to stand it up properly. That's infrastructure work, and it's what they do all day.
  • They're the support line. One number to call, whether the problem turns out to be the software, the server, or the far end.
  • We keep building it. Bugs and product decisions come back to us. The split is deliberate, and neither side pretends to cover the other.

Why it's set up this way

A small studio should know what it isn't

Portari runs inside someone else's network, on their hardware, moving files their business depends on. That needs a real support relationship — somebody who can look at the server, not just the software.

We could have pretended to offer that. Plenty of small software companies do, and the result is usually a support queue nobody has time for. Partnering with people who already do infrastructure properly is the more honest answer, and it keeps us doing the thing we're actually good at.

Not every product needs this. CoverText installs itself from the Shopify App Store in a couple of clicks, so there's nothing for a partner to do — you deal with us directly there.

Partnering

Think you'd be a good fit?

If you are a Managed Service Provider and our products would help the businesses you already look after, we're open to the conversation. We'd rather have a few partners who know the products properly than a directory full of logos.
